HICKORY, N.C.  – Senior OF 
Erin Boone set the all-time hits record in a doubleheader sweep of Augusta on Thursday afternoon. Boone's 269th career hit was a walkoff homer in game one, breaking the mark of 268 set by Brittany Cherry in 2010. 
INSIDE THE MATCHUP:

STATS OF GAME ONE:
•    The Bears started the game with a bang and never looked back. 
Savannah Moorefield took the first pitch of the game and deposited it over the LF fence for a solo shot. Boone followed and sent one over the RF fence for back-to-backers. 
•    
Kylee Leonhardt added a 2-run bomb to give the Bears a 5-0 advantage and 
Mackensi Swain added a 2-run jack of her own to put the Bears up 7-0.
•    Senior 
Brandi Parks had a no-hitter through 5.2 innings but Augusta's Lauren Prescott broke it up with a solo homer. Parks would finish the game with two hits allowed and three strikeouts as she improved to 14-5 on the season. 
•    Boone came up in the bottom of the sixth with a runner on and sent one to left center that left the yard to invoke the mercy rule in the bottom of the sixth. Boone finished her historic contest with a batting line of 3-for-4 with three runs scored and three runs driven in. 
STATS OF GAME TWO:
•    The Bears bats stayed hot in game two as the Bears pushed across four runs in the bottom of the first. 
Talon LaClair ripped an RBI double to score a pair and scored on a triple from Leonhardt. 
Leanna Sherrill would plate Leonhardt with a sac fly as the Bears gave 
Emily Kenley all the run support she would need. 
•    Augusta scored once in the top of the second but Boone would knock in 
Macie Gibson with a sac fly to answer. Sherrill crushed a 2-run homer down the left field line in the third as the Bears sprinted to a 7-1 advantage.
•    Boone connected on her third long ball of the doubleheader in the fourth inning and the Bears would run-rule the Jaguars in the fifth on a dropped fly ball error on Augusta's center fielder. 
•    Boone finished game two by going 1-for-1 with two runs and two RBI and reached in each of her at bats. With her five runs scored today, Boone is tied for the all-time lead in runs scored with 201 for her career. 
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
•    The Bears have now won four straight and are 12-4 at home on the year. 
•    Parks' 14 wins lead the South Atlantic Conference.
