Buduo Becomes All-Time Leader in Goals Scored as Bears Dominate Alderson Broaddus

Philippi, W.V.  – The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Lacrosse Team dominated Alderson Broaddus on Sunday afternoon, winning by a final score of 17-3. The Bears scored the first 10 goals of the game and never looked back as senior Joe Buduo became the program's all-time leader in goals scored.

STATS OF THE GAME:
•  Ben Austin started the scoring onslaught for the Bears who put up 10 goals in the first 25 minutes of game action. Buduo scored four of his team-high six goals in the first quarter and now owns 126 career scores passing Ned Kaish who had 124. 
•  Freshman Mason Pierrotti scored a career-high four goals and added an assist. Pierrotti's four goals came on just five shots. 
•  Quinn Kuhn, Austin and Eric Dickinson all finished with two assists on the afternoon as LR assisted on 10 of it's 17 goals.  
•  The Bears dominated in all statistical categories, holding a 49-25 advantage in shots and a 35-30 lead in ground balls. LR won 14 of 23 face offs and forced the hosts into 30 turnovers. 
•  Noah Johnson started in goal and earned his third win of the season by making five saves in the first half. Noah Lalli took over second half duties and made four stops. 
 
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
•    Dickinson finished with one goal and is just four shy of Buduo's goal mark. The junior has 122 career goals and is just three shy of moving into second place in team history. 
•    The Bears are now 3-1 on the season against unranked opponents.
 
UP NEXT:
The Bears are back in action on Saturday when they return to South Atlantic Conference play against Lincoln Memorial.
