MARS HILL, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Tennis Team ran its winning streak to seven straight with a SAC-opening 7-0 victory over Mars Hill on Thursday afternoon. The win over the Lions is LR's fifth straight win over Mars Hill.

COACHES TAKE
"The ladies took care of business as was expected today," said Head Coach
Tom Rees. "I was pleased that some of our freshmen got their first wins in the SAC. It was another solid outing for our program."
HOW IT HAPPENED
Doubles action went to the Bears thanks to wins in all three spots. The first doubles duo of
Lucy Whelan and Marta Escanero took a 6-3 victory, while
Diana Babinets and
Gemma Southwick took a 6-4 win.
It was more of the same in singles play with the Bears sweeping the Lions, all in straight sets. Freshmen Southwick, Babinets and
Ally Garofoli all earned their first league wins in convincing fashion.
