HICKORY, N.C. – For the first time since 2015, the Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball Team won a South Atlantic Quarterfinal game. Now the No. 4 seed Bears will travel to Furman to take on the top-seeded Anderson Trojans on Saturday in the semifinal round of the SAC Tournament at noon.

Head Coach Cameron Sealey returns to a territory she has not been a part of since having the LR jersey on her back. She was a member of the two Regular Season SAC Championship Teams and one SAC Tournament Championship team but this will mark the first time to appear in the semifinals on the other end of the sideline.

The Bears are led by three all-conference selections as Madi Suddreth (second team), Kendall Toineeta (honorable mention) and Madeline Hardy (all-freshman team) were honored by the conference office on Thursday. Suddreth is ninth in the all-time scoring list while Toineeta is fifth all-time in assists. Lenoir-Rhyne's third leading scorer averages just under 10 points per game, has scored in double figures in eight of the last 10 games, has accumulated five double-doubles and leads the team in rebounding with 6.9 per game.

The Anderson Trojans finished the regular season 26-2 and ran the table with an undefeated 20-0 record after starting the season 2-2. The Trojans swept Lenoir-Rhyne this year, but the Bears came as close as a six-point loss at home on February 9, 69-63. Hardy went off in that game for one of her five double-doubles recording 12 points and 13 rebounds in 29 minutes played. Toineeta came off the bench to put in 12 points of her own.

A spot in the SAC Championship game is on the line as the winner plays the winner of Lincoln Memorial and Wingate on Sunday.
