Hickory, N.C- The Bears welcomed reigning national champions and No. 9 ranked Barry University to Moretz Sports Athletic Complex Saturday night and it ended as an instant classic. The Bears controlled most of the game, taking 17 shots compared to three for the Buccaneers. When Barry did have their chances, the Bears defense was suffocating. The Bears did not allow one shot on goal through 90 minutes. After a scoreless regulation, the Bears pulled the upset off in the 98th minute when
Eric Miller scored from the right-wing to give the Bears a 1-0 win.
