Dave Markland won his 300th game as Lenoir-Rhyne's Head Coach as the Bears beat UVA Wise, 3-1 on Friday night. Markland, whose first LR win came over St. Andrews on August 30, 2003, spent seven seasons at Appalachian St. and owns 452 career wins in his 24-year coaching career.

Taylor Prall lead the way for the Bears finishing with 12 kills and nine digs, just falling shy of her fourth straight double-double.
• The Bears jumped out of the gate early, winning the first two sets 25-18 and 25-20. The Cavs then took set three 25-19 before the Bears rallied back in set four to win 25-22.
• The Bears finished with a hitting percentage of .191 and forced the Cavs into 21 errors.

Alannah Thomas added 11 kills to go with a hitting percentage of .400.

Katrina Samuels had a season-high four kills and two digs to spark the Bears off the bench.

• With this win, Coach Markland has the 2nd highest winning percentage of any LR volleyball coach of all-time at .579 (min.100 games).
• This was the first all-time meeting between the two programs as UVA Wise enters their first season in the South Atlantic Conference.
