HICKORY, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Volleyball Team rebounded from a Friday night defeat to sweep Newberry inside Shuford Gym on Saturday afternoon. The win wraps up LR's brief three-match homestand with the Bears going 2-1 in that stretch.

STATS OF THE MATCH:

Madison Asher had her best game of the season as the junior MB finished with seven kills and a .500 hitting percentage. Asher added five blocks and a pair of digs.

Taylor Prall led the Bears with 12 kills and chipped in five digs while
Rachel Bewick led LR with 17 digs.

Selena Scudder was tremendous off the bench, coming in to dish out a career-high 13 assists with a pair of digs.
• Toni-Anne Whitlow led the visitors with nine kills and Taylor Garrison added a double-double with 15 assists and 12 digs.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
• The Bears don't return home until Oct. 25 as the next nine matches take place outside of Hickory.
• This is the first three-set win at home on the season for LR.
