Box Score Hickory, N.C.-- The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball fell to Tusculum in double-overtime 88-84 Wednesday evening at the Shu.Â
Ashley Woodroffe had a career-high 27 points for the Bears. Â

Stats of the Game:
- After a back and forth first half, Tusculum stormed out to a 15 point third quarter lead before the Bears stormed back with a 8-0 run to start the 4th quarter.Â
- After Tusculum's Jalia Arnwine hit one of two free throw with 7 seconds left, Woodroffe hit a layup to bring the deficit to 71-70 with 1.1 seconds. Hanna McClung stole the inbound pass and got fouled before hitting one-of-two free throws to send the game into overtime.
- LR didn't score a field goal in the first overtime, scoring all five from the charity stripe. Trailing 76-75, Nakia Hooks was fouled with 28 seconds to play. The freshman went 1-for-2 and the Bears came up with a defensive stop on the final possession to force double overtime.Â
- Woodroffe put the Bears up to start the second OT but the Pioneers would answer. A 9-0 spurt gave the visitors an 85-78 edge which proved to be insurmountable.  Â
- Tusculum's Mia Long had three steals. Long entered the game second in Division II with 3.72 steals a game.
- Both teams entered the game evenly matched in a lot categories. Each team shot around 40% from the floor, average 39 rebounds a game, 13 assists a game and 16 turnovers a game.
- Tusculum's Kasey Johnson played the entire 50 minutes and scored 34 points on 12-for-24 shooting. Johnson went 4-for-10 from long range and had nine boards and three steals.
- Kennedy Weigt played in 46 minutes for the Bears and Karlie Bearden played 40. Bearden nearly missed a double-double with 16 points and nine boards. Hooks also came off the bench to score a career-high 16 points and add even boards.Â
Beyond the Box Score:
- With Tusculum's win tonight, they have now won six straight games against the Bears and hold a 26-23 lead in the all-time series.
- Bearden recorded her 50th career steal in the contest.
- Laney Fox's four points and Kiara Moore's eight pushed the duo past the 100-point mark for their careers.Â
- Both of these teams entered the game shooting 30% from three-point range. However Tusculum has attempted 150 more three this season then LR. Tusculum has shot 482 three's this year, second most in the SAC behind Carson-Newman's 517 attempts.
- The Bears trailed by as many as 15 points (3:53 mark of the third quarter) before mounting a tremendous comeback.Â
- Tusculum led for 29:11. The lead changed 16 times and was tied on eight occasions.Â
