Hickory, N.C.--The Bears once again got great pitching in game one, then collected 14 hits in game two to sweep Indiana (PA) for the second straight day. Starters
Jarrod Large and
John Grigg each picked up wins, while not allowing an earned run on the day.

STATS OF GAME ONE:
- After allowing two unearned runs in the first. Jarrod Large settled down striking out five Crimson Hawks through 4 2/3 IP. Large had a stretch where he stuck out four straight Crimson Hawks looking. Large's final line was 4 2/3, 3 hits, 2 runs (0 earned), 3 BB and 6 K's. Large picked up his first win as a Bear.
- Ben Friebel relieved Large with two outs in the top of the 5th with the bases loaded. Friebel got the ground ball to get out of the jam and picked up his second save on the year with 2 1/3 IP, only allowing one hit.
- Each of the top five hitters in the LR lineup had a hit and a run scored. Connor Smith had the big two-run single in the four-run bottom of the 1st.
- Will Jones double in the 5th extended his hitting streak to five games. Jones has hit safely in eight of ten games this year.
STATS OF GAME TWO:
- Bears jumped on the Crimson Hawks with three runs in the bottom of second. Brock Johnson doubled home Mike McHugh then Caleb Fluno connected on his first collegiate homerun, a two-run shot off Crimson Hawks starter Nick Kuhn.
- Bears added a single run in the third. Connor Smith singled, stole second then David Bell drove him in with an RBI single.
- John Grigg pitched five innings to pick up his second win on the season. Grigg's final stat line was 5 IP, 1 hit, 0 runs with 3 strikeouts.
- Andrew Dye and Jackson Benjamin pitched scoreless innings for the Bears out of the bullpen.
- Bears broke the game open with a nine-run seventh.
- Caleb Fluno went 2-3 with his two-run HR and a two-run single, while Bell finished 2-3 with 3 RBI's
- Five different players had multi-hit games as the Bears tied their season high with 14 hits. Bears had 14 hits in yesterday second game.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Bears are 4-0 at home for the first time since starting 7-0 at home in 2017.
- Four errors by LR in game two is a season high by the Bears.
- Jones extended his hitting streak to six games, with his two hits in the second game.
- McHugh had a hit and run scored in all four games this weekend.
