Andy Lopez had a career afternoon for the Bears. Lopez went 4-for-4 at the plate including his second homerun of the season to go along with 4 RBIs on the day as the Bears completed the three game sweep of visiting Lake Erie 13-3.

STATS OF GAME:
- Chipper McGinnis got his first start of the season for LR. McGinnis went five innings, allowing one run on four hit while striking out four and picked up his first career win.
- Lopez opened the scoring with a two-run homer in the second which was the junior catchers second homerun in four games.
- After Lake Erie cut the lead to 5-3 with a two-run homer in the 6th, Joshua Lanham entered the game giving the Bears 1 2/3 scoreless innings to record the save.
- Bears finished the game with an eight spot in the bottom of the 7th to give them the 13-3 win. David Bell went yard for the second straight day in the inning.
- Every starter for the Bears had either a hit or a run scored in the contest, including eight different Bears hitters with a hit. LR finished with 15 hits on the afternoon.
- Will Jones stuffed the box score with 3 hits, 2 runs scored, 2 rbis and was hit by a pitch. Jones jumped his average to .378, which is good for 9th in the SAC.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Bears moved their home record to 9-3 with the victory today.
- Lopez extended his hitting streak to five games with his 4-4 day. During Lopez's streak he has hit .642 with 2 HRs and 7 RBIs
- Xander Ferlenda scored a run in his 9th straight game this afternoon.
- With two more RBIs, Jones is currently in third place in the SAC with 25 RBIs on the season.
