Box Score Hickory, N.C. -- Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Tennis defeats Coker 6-1 to improve to 3-0 in SAC conference play.

LR clinched the doubles point thanks to quality wins from pairings Gemma Southwick/Sanne Janssen and Ally Garofoli/Diana Babinets. They were won in style, by scores of 6-0 and 6-1 respectively.

Leading 1-0 going into singles, the Bears continued to down the Cobras. Southwick won at no.1 singles and Janssen at no.5 singles, both taking their undefeated record to 3-0 in conference singles play. Lucy Whelan would be the only loss of the day, falling to Gabriela Del Val in two hard-fought sets. Wins followed from Evelin Menyhart, Garofoli and Babinets to secure the 6-1 final score for LR. Babinets also moves to 3-0 in conference singles play.

The Bears are now on a four match winning streak.

The Bears play on the road next in Georgia, facing Augusta on Friday, March 13 and Georgia College on Saturday, March 14.
