HICKORY, N.C. - In a battle of two of the top teams in the SAC, it was Catawba that came out on top 2-0 at Moretz Sports Complex on a rainy Wednesday night in Hickory. The SAC's leading scorer Hannah Dunn scored both goals, one in each half for Catawba. The Bears had good offensive chances but were not able to find the back of the net, as Catawba goalkeeper Sierra Davis notched her sixth straight clean sheet.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- Catawba outshot LR 14-5 in the first half, but only 16-12 in the second half as the Bear offense found some rhythm.
- Helen Summerell assisted both Catawba goals.
- There were three yellow cards in the last 90 seconds of the game, with Catawba picking up two within 45 seconds of each other.
- The rest of the stats were very even, with Catawba holding the edge in corner kicks 6-5, and the Bears committing one more foul than the Indians.
- Freshman defender Vivien Becker Peralta led the Bears with four shots, and nearly missed her first career goal on a header in the second half.

- The teams have split their last six meetings, going every other one. The Bears won two out of three meetings in the spring season.
- This is the first time in her career that Becker Peralta led the team in shots (4) and shots on goal (2).
- Tonight was Allie Zueger's first game back after she received a red card in the Coker game. Zueger was very active on offense and tied for the team lead with four shots.
- Emerson Talley and Kate Casey both started for the first time in tonight's game. Casey played all 90 minutes.
- Catawba goalkeeper Davis has not given up a goal since September 15 against Chowan.
