ROCK HILL, S.C. – For just the second time in program history, the Lenoir-Rhyne Volleyball Team caputred a South Atlantic Conference Tournament championship. The Bears erased a 2-1 deficit to rally to win in five.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- Taylor Prall was named the tournament MVP as she finished with 17 kills and 20 digs.
- Colette Romp led the way with 21 kills for Lenoir-Rhyne, a career-best performance.
- Emma Clark had 13 kills and started the match on fire with eight kills on her first nine attempts.
- Clark added a career-high 11 kills.
- Mackenzie Hulsey dished out 54 assists.
- Prall had two aces and Ashley Hawkins and Anna Jordan had one each. Jordan's ace sealed the win in a 17-15 fifth set clincher.
- Hawkins added 17 digs on the day and Romp totaled nine blocks.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- The only time LR has won the SAC Tournament prior to today was back in 2015.
- The Bears lost in the championship game in 2004 and 2006 making this just the fourth trip to the title game in program history.
- The championship game was the 1,500th match in program history.
- This marks the 20th game played by Lenoir-Rhyne outside of Hickory. The Bears are 9-4 in road games and 4-3 at neutral sites.
