WILSON, N.C. – Lenoir-Rhyne outscored Barton 35-7 in the second half to run away with a 56-20 victory on Saturday afternoon. The Bears rushed for a quartet of touchdowns and
Grayson Willingham tossed three TDs in the victory.

STATS OF THE GAME:
• Barton scored first on a short field goal, just the second time this season that an opponent scored first.
• Willingham hit
Deondre Lester for the first of his three touchdowns on the night. On the ensuing kickoff, Jacquez Durham returned it 94 yards for a score. It was the first kickoff returned for a TD against Lenoir-Rhyne since 2009.

Dwayne McGee took a nine-yard swing pass and found pay dirt to put the Bears back up 14-10, a lead they would never relinquish.
• A second Barton field goal pulled them within one at 14-13 with 8:59 left in the first half.
Jadus Davis scored the first of his three rushing touchdowns, a 3-yarder, to finish the first-half scoring.

Kelin Parsons caught a 7-yard TD before Davis broke lose with a 27-yard touchdown run to make it 35-13.
• For the third straight game, the Bears got a defensive touchdown.
Percy King returned an interception 80 yards to make it 42-13 and was King's third career interception against Barton. King had a 2-INT game against the Bulldogs in the spring.
• Davis punched in a 1-yard score to close out a career game for the freshman. On top of his three scores, Davis finished with 10 carries for 63 yards.

Zyheir Dillard closed the scoring for the Bears with a 35-yard touchdown run.
• McGee finished the game with 152 yards rushing on 22 carries and LR totaled 287 yards on 43 carries. On the season, McGee has 1,391 yards on the ground, the third-most in a single season in team history.
• Willingham went 19-for-27 for 186 yards and had a 3:1 TD: INT ratio. His lone turnover came on a 4th and long heave.

Jon Ross Maye led the Bears with 10 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and 0.5 sack.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:

Andre Jefferson recorded a sack in the first quarter to extend LR's program-record streak of consecutive games with a sack to 52 straight.
• McGee and Barton RB Jordan Terrell came into the game as two of the top running backs in the nation. Terrell had the second-most rushing yards in Division II coming into today and finished with 107 yards on 26 carries and a touchdown. McGee came into the contest fifth in the nation in yards on the ground and outgained Terrell by 45 yards.
• In their four-game winning streak, Lenoir-Rhyne has outscored opponents 191-29.
• LR is now 11-0 all-time against Barton.
• The LR defense, which wasn't responsible for the kickoff return for a TD, allowed just seven points and have given up 16 points in the past four games.
• The Bears came in as the 13th-best team in Division II on third downs (converting 50 percent) and went 8-for-12 against Barton.
• With eight more extra points,
Chase Allbaugh has run his NCAA DII-record streak to 152 straight made extra points.
