HICKORY, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Lacrosse Team trailed for much of the game against Belmont Abbey on Wednesday afternoon but rallied to take an 11-10 lead with 6:18 to play. However, Belmont Abbey scored the final three goals of the game to come away with the non-conference victory.

STATS OF THE GAME:
• Lenoir-Rhyne scored the first three goals of the game in the opening 5:01 but the Crusaders stormed back thanks to a 5-0 scoring run
• The Crusaders would take an 8-6 lead into the half and scored two more to start the second half to push the advantage to 10-6
• After being held scoreless for the first 12:42 of the second half,
Kaitlyn Cavanaugh broke the scoreless streak and started a 5-0 LR spurt to give the Bears an 11-10 advantage.
• Kylie Eastman notched the tying goal and Mackenzie Kaderabek scored the winner. Jenn Smith added an insurance goal with 2:16 to play.
• Cavanaugh had three goals and three assists for Lenoir-Rhyne and
Cathleen Gaffney had two goals and two assists
• Belmont Abbey was led four goals each from Kaderabek and Riley D'Andrea and Eastman had two goals and four assists
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• Lenoir-Rhyne drops to 17-19 all-time in games played in February in program history
• The Bears drop to 3-7 all-time against Belmont Abbey and are just 1-6 against the Crusaders all-time at Moretz Stadium
• The Bears are now 50-42 all-time at home
