Hickory, N.C.-- The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Tennis team swept Mars Hill 7-0 at home Thursday afternoon.
In doubles,
Gemma Southwick/
Lucy Whelan made quick work of Rodriguez/Razzetta 6-0. LR would win two straight matches to secure the doubles point and go up 1-0.
In singles, Southwick handled Rodriguez 6-1, 6-2 to extend her singles match win streak to 10 games and go up (2-0).
Natalie Lutz then continued the momentum toppling Franklin 6-1,6-2 putting LR up (3-0).
Lucy Whelan stayed hot and put LR up (4-0) beating Schave 6-5, 6-1.

The Bears improve to 3-1 on the season and will be back in action Wednesday March 3rd on the road against Newberry.
