Wise, Va. -- The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Tennis Team traveled to UVA Wise Sunday and dominated the Cavaliers 6-1.
Due to rain in the forecast, the day started off with singles first.
Natalie Lutz started it off by earning a forfeit win to put the score at (1-0).
Alicia Wahlberg then made quick work of Morris winning 6-0, 6-0 putting LR up (2-0).
Evelin Menyhart then beat Hall 6-0, 6-1 to make the score (3-0).
Diana Babinets would continue the momentum defeating Moore 6-0, 6-1 clinching the match (4-0).
Gemma Southwick would add on for the Bears defeating Akimenko in a battle 6-3, 7-5 making the score (5-0). Akimenko would beat
Lucy Whelan 6-1, 6-3 to make the score (5-1).
LR would win three straight doubles matches to make the final score (6-1).
The Bears improve their record to 6-2, 4-2 SAC and will be in action on Tuesday, March 16 on the road against Coker.
