WINGATE, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Volleyball Team was swept at Wingate on Tuesday evening despite a battle in the third set. The loss was the 15
th straight for the Bears at Wingate, dating back to 2005.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- The Bears started out slow in the first two sets but battled Wingate in the third. The Bears led 23-21 but weren't able to close it out.
- Taylor Prall led the Bears with 10 kills and added eight digs.
- Colette Romp and Ashley Hawkins each had six kills for the Bears.
- Rachel Bewick had a game-high 23 digs and added two assists.
- Wingate was led by 13 kills from Sophie Schaff. The balanced Bulldogs had four players with at least eight kills.
- Wingate hit .230 as a team compared to the Bears .097 hitting percentage.
- In her first career action, freshman Hayley Stull had four blocks.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- With her nine digs, Hawkins crosses 950 for her career. Hawkins sits at 954 career digs.
- Prall is now just 15 kills away from 1,000 for her career.
- Wingate went 21-1 in league play a season ago and 30-3 overall.
- This is the seventh straight loss for LR against Wingate. The last win for the Bears against the Bulldogs came in Shuford Gym on Nov. 5, 2016.
