Andrew Patrick's second shutout of the year helped the Lenoir-Rhyne's Baseball Team spilt a SAC doubleheader against host Anderson. In game one, Patrick went the distance allowing just three hits while
Bryce Stober drove in both runs. In the nightcap, Anderson rallied to score the last three runs to came away with a 5-4 win. The loss snaps the Bears ten game SAC winning streak.

STATS OF GAME ONE:
- LR gots on the board first when Bryce Stober's infield single scored Wade Cuda to give them a 1-0 lead.
- The duo would strike again in the fourth as Stober drove in Cuda with another base knock to push the LR lead to 2-0
- Patrick (4-1) threw his second complete game shutout on the season, allowing just three hits on the afternoon while striking out seven.
- Stober finished 3-3 with both RBIs for the Bears. Stober had three of the Bears four hits in the game.
- LR stole a season-high six bases in game one lead by three from Will Jones.
STATS OF GAME TWO:
- The Bears did not waste anytime in the finale. A Connor Smith two-run double and a Matt Mackey sac fly gave the Bears a 3-0 lead after a half inning.
- A walk, a stolen base, a groundout and a balk got the Trojans on the board in the bottom half of the fisrt without a hit.
- Smith then added another hit, rbi and a stolen base in the third to give the Bears a 4-1 lead.
- Anderson cut the lead to two in the third then tied it in the sixth with a triple by Justin Fox and a single from Nick Vella.
- Starter Joshua Lanham went six innings in the no decision, Lanham gave up four runs while striking out nine Trojans.
- A leadoff walk in the bottom of the seventh by Ian Foggo (0-2) came around to score to give the Trojans their first lead of the day.
- LR had it chances in the eighth with runners on the corners and one out but grounded into a double play to end the inning.
- Jones and Smith had five of the Bears seven hits in the game.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- LR entered the day second in the SAC in batting average (.329), On-base % (.428) and first in slugging % (.588)
- Ranel came into Sunday hitting .529 with three doubles and 10 RBIs in his last five games. Ranel leads the team with 22 RBIs on the season.
- Stober's three hit game in game one was the freshman's fifth game with at least three hits in his career.
- Six stolen bases in game one was the most since March 13, 2019, when the Bears stole six against Benedict.
UP NEXT: LR will return home next weekend to face Mars Hill for a four game series starting Saturday at 1 PM.
