ROCK HILL, S.C. – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Football Players of the Week for games played during the third week of the spring season. Lenoir-Rhyne quarterback
Grayson Willingham was tabbed as the Offensive Player of the Week, while Lenoir-Rhyne linebacker
Jon Ross Maye was named the Defensive Player of the Week, and Lenoir-Rhyne kicker
Chase Allbaugh picked up Special Teams Player of the Week honors.
Willingham, a senior from Matthews, N.C., connected on 22 of 27 passes (81.5 percent) throwing for 309 yards and two touchdowns in the Bears' 44-13 win over Barton College.
Maye, a freshman from Johns Creek, Ga., led the Bears to a 44-13 win over Barton. He made 11 tackles, including eight solo tackles, three tackles for loss, and a sack. He also blocked a Barton field goal attempt and has won Defensive Player of the Week honors two weeks in a row.
Allbaugh, a senior from Tallahassee, Fla., converted all three of his field goal attempts and all four of his extra point attempts, accounting for 13 of Lenoir-Rhyne's 44 points in the Bears' win over Barton last week. Allbaugh has now converted 104 straight extra point attempts without a miss.
