NEWBERRY, S.C. – A pair of team records were broken on Wednesday night as No. 4 Lenoir-Rhyne dispatched of Newberry to improve to 7-0.
Eric Dickinson became the program's all-time leader in career assists and the Bears broke the team record for most goals in a game with 24.

STATS OF THE GAME:
• Dickinson came into the game needing just a pair of assists to break the program record and did that with a helper in the third quarter. Dickinson's 82 career dimes pushes him past Sam Ashton who held the record since 2014.

Myles Moffat got LR off to a hot start as the junior notched a hat trick in the first quarter. Moffat finished the game with five goals and an assist

Toron Eccleston also netted five goals and an assist and added three ground balls
• Dickinson finished the game with three goals and his two assists and
Tommy Aguilar had his first career hat trick

John Paulus was 24-of-39 on faceoffs and had 10 ground balls. The 24 face off wins rank as the fourth-highest total in a single game in program history
• LR held a 51-41 advantage in shots and 33-28 edge in shots on goal

Noah Johnson made 14 saves to earn his seventh win of the season. This is the 16th time Johnson recorded 10 or more saves in a game in his career
• LR won 26 of the 42 faceoffs and held Newberry to just 1-of-8 on the man advantage
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• The previous record for most goals in a game was 23 coming against Lynn and Brevard both in 2014
• Lenoir-Rhyne has three games of 20+ goals in a season. This is only the third instance of three games with 20+ goals in a season as it also happened in 2014 and 2017
• The Bears run their overall winning streak to 11 games in a row dating back to last season
• The Bears are 81-27 all-time against unranked opponents
• LR is now 53-22 all-time in games played during the month of March
