Hickory, N.C. -- Thanks to a beautiful goal by Noah Tiefel in the 32nd minute, the No. 10 Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Soccer Team ended the regular season unbeaten with a win over No. 11 Wingate. The win was the third win over a ranked opponent in the past two years for LR.

STATS OF THE MATCH:

• Lenoir-Rhyne took advantage of the only shot they put on frame in the contest as Cascon kept a ball in playand Benjamin Gnieser found Tiefel for the game-winner
• Wingate held a 13-5 advantage in shots and a 7-1 lead in shots on goal
• Each team took a pair of corner kicks in the match
• Juan Basabe made six saves for Lenoir-Rhyne to earn his fourth win of the season
• Each team was whistled for 12 fouls and Wingate had four yellow cards to three for Lenoir-Rhyne

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:

• The two teams combined to go 7-0 in other pods games and outscored their opponents 18-2 prior to tonight
• Despite not playing in the last two weeks, Jaime Poza leads the SAC in assists with four.
