HICKORY, N.C. -- The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Lacrosse Team dropped a 20-8 decision to Wingate on Wednesday afternoon. Kendall Wells scored six goals, including the 200th of her career, as Wingate scored 15 times in the first half.

- After Wingate scored the first goal of the game,
Frances Williams and
Jolan Morey went back-to-back to give the Bears a 2-1 advantage.
- Wingate netted the evener before
Cathleen Gaffney gave the Bears a 3-2 lead with 19:17 to play in the first half.
- From that point on, Wingate scored 11 of the next 12 goals to pull away.
- In goal,
Teanna Sieben made 12 saves.
- Wingate held a 33-15 advantage in shots and put 32 of those shots on goal.
- Wingate won 21 of the 30 draw controls in the game.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
-This was the first loss to Wingate in program history. The Bears had been 7-0 all-time against the Bulldogs.
- Lenoir-Rhyne falls to fifth in the league standings with the loss.
