HICKORY, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Football team remained in the top 10 in each of the AFCA and D2Football national rankings after week one of the season. The Bears rank No. 6 in the AFCA poll and No. 7 in the D2Football poll.

The Bears finished No. 4 in the 2019 AFCA poll but slid to No. 6 in the first poll of 2021 after a 41-point win in the season-opener.

LR held still in the D2Football poll, checking in at No. 7 in the preseason poll and the week one poll.

This is the 48^th week in the national rankings for LR Football during the NCAA era and the 20^th consecutive week. This is also the 32^nd week ranked inside the top 10 for the Bears.
