No. 15 Railsplitters Top Lenoir-Rhyne

HARROGATE, TENN. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Basketball team dropped its ninth straight game and third straight against ranked opponents as they fell at Lincoln Memorial on Saturday afternoon.

STATS AND INFO:
- Lenoir-Rhyne has never played three ranked teams in a row until this season
- The 31-point loss is the largest defeat for the Bears this season and LRs largest defeat since dropping a 103-59 contest at LMU on Jan 27, 2018
- LR was outrebounded for the 14th time on the season
- LMU shot 54.5 percent from the field, the highest an opponent has shot against the Bears so far this year

FIRST HALF:
- LR jumped out to a quick 10-5 lead thanks to five early points from Salle Wilson
- LMU regained a 31-23 lead going into the under eight timeout
- Following that timeout, LMU went on a 14-2 run over the next five minutes
- The Railsplitters would take a 48-30 lead into halftime thanks to hot shooting from Alex Dahling who hit five of his first six three point attempts

SECOND HALF:
- It was all LMU in the second half as the hosts went 16 of 30 from the field
- LR went cold from long range, hitting just 3 of 11 from deep
- LMU went 9 for 11 from the free throw line in the final 20 minutes

ABOUT THE BEARS:
- Kevin Kangu led LR with 12 points on the game
- Cooper Fowler had 10 points and a team-high six boards
- Nas Tyson had four steals

NOTABLE RAILSPLITTERS:
- Five players scored in double figures led by 20 from Dahling
- Jordan Guest went for 16 points a week after dropping 27 on the Bears on New Year's Day
- Martez Brown came off the bench for 10 points, seven boards and four blocks in 19 minutes
