BELMONT, N.C.-- The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Basketball Team played its second straight Conference Carolinas opponent but this time came out on the losing end of a 4-point decision against Belmont Abbey. LR previously defeated Chowan by two in overtime on December 19.

STATS OF THE GAME:
- In his return to the Wheeler Center,
L.J. McCoy dropped a team-high 20 points on 7-of-17 shooting and five made 3-pointers. McCoy spent his undergrad career as a member of the Crusaders squad before becoming a graduate transfer for the Bears.
- In his first career start,
Percy Fyle had a tremendous game with eight points (4-of-5 FG), seven rebounds and three blocked shots in his 25 minutes of action.

Nas Tyson had 12 points, four rebounds and four assists.

Salle Wilson came off the bench to tie File with seven rebounds.
- LR shot just 40 percent from the field in the contest but held a 39-33 advantage on the boards.
- The Crusaders were led by a game-high 21 points from Wade Jackson.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- LR was playing without starters T.J. Nesmith and
Jalen Johnson in this non-conference tilt.
- Fyle's career game came in his first action of the season and just the eighth game of his career.
- The Bears are 3-2 on the year against Conference Carolinas opponents.
