Tahlequah, OK. --The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball came in No. 9 in this week's Women's Basketball Division II Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA. The No.9 ranking is the highest ranked the Bears have received in their programs history.The previous high was when the Bears came in at No.16 during the 2008-09 season. 

The Bears also came in at No. 20 in this week's WBCA Coaches Poll that also came out yesterday. This is the first time the Bears have been ranked in this coaches poll this year after receiving votes the past two weeks. The Bears have not been ranked by the WBCA since the 2013-14 season. In all, the Bears have been ranked for the second straight week and now have been ranked twenty-one times in program history. 

LR moved to 8-0 on the season when they doubled up Young Harris 80-40 on Saturday afternoon in Georgia. The Bears will now open up a three game home stand on Saturday when Coker comes to town. The Bears will play three games in a five day span inside the Shu.
