WISE, VA. - The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Basketball Team improved to 5-1 in their past six games with an 85-70 victory at UVA Wise on Wednesday night. LR used a 13-0 second half run to pull away from the Cavaliers as T.J. Nesmith recorded his first career double-double.

- The Bears complete the season series sweep of UVA Wise
- Nesmith became the first Bear to post a double-double on the season
- The last Bear to produce a double-double was R.J. Gunn against Queens on March 4, 2020
- Both of LR's wins over UVA Wise this year have come by double digits and all five of the Bears head-to-head wins over the Cavs have been by more than 12

- Nesmith finished the contest with 29 points and 10 boards, Over a week ago, Nesmith had 32 points in a win over Catawba and the junior has scored in double digits in eight of his last nine contests
- Nas Tyson had a tremendous all-around game with 16 points, seven rebounds and seven assists
- Kevin Kangu had 11 points and a career-high nine dimes and four steals
- Malik Legania came off the bench to go 4-of-4 from the field in his 15 minutes of action
- LR led the battle on the boards with 31 rebounds compared to 29 from Wise
- The Bears shot 49.2 percent from the field and 42 percent from long range as they connected on 12 3-pointers as a team
