HICKORY, N.C.  - In the last home game of the season, the No. 6 Queens Royals used a huge first half to cruise to a 27-point victory over Lenoir-Rhyne. Prior to the game, LR celebrated Senior Night and honored seniors Kevin Kangu and Tyson McClain.

STATS OF THE GAME:
- The Royals were scorching in the first half, shooting 55.8 percent from the field and knocking down seven three-pointers
- Thanks to the hot shooting, Queens ran out to a 52-25 halftime lead and never looked back
- Quan McCluney led the Royals with 18 points and went 5-of-10 from 3-point land
- Kenny Dye was superb, going for 16 points, seven assists and five rebounds and Jamari Smith had 16 points and five boards
- LR was paced by 21 points from reigning SAC Player of the Week T.J. Nesmith who missed just two shots from the field
- Nas Tyson was the only other Bear in double figures with 10 points, six rebounds and six assists
- LR was only 1-of-15 from long range for the game

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- LR had defeated Queens at least one time in each of the past three seasons but the Royals pulled out the season sweep today
- LR sits in a seventh-place tie in the league standings with one game to play
- A win on Saturday would clinch a spot in the SAC Tournament 
- LR can't go any higher than the No. 7 seed in the conference tournament and would draw either LMU or Queens

UP NEXT:  LR will close out the regular season on Saturday with a trip to Newberry at 4 p.m.
