Hickory, N.C.--In this year's annual Play4Kay game, the Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball Team lost to visiting Limestone 81-66 Saturday afternoon in the Shu.
Brandi Hudson lead the Bears with 20 points while
Emily Harman added 14.

STATS AND INFO:
- Today was the first time Limestone has played in Hickory as a SAC opponent, The Saints joined the conference in August of 2020 but the first three games since they joined the SAC were in Gaffney.
- The Bears won the first five games against Limestone but the Saints have now won seven straight.
- The matchup today features four of the top eleven scorers in the SAC. Quin Bryd (4th) and Reagan Kargo (11th) for the Saints and Hudson (6th) and Harman (8th) for LR.
- Today's game was the annual Play4Kay game as the Bears wore their alternate pink uniforms.
FIRST HALF:
- First half saw both teams use a fast pace on offense while shooting at least 50% from the floor. LR shot 17-34 in the first half while Saints shot 16-31.
- A Blaikley Crooks lay up with 7:23 left in the second quarter gave the Bears a 27-25 lead. The Saints then went on a 24-12 run to end the half to take an 11 point lead into halftime.
- Limestone had four players in double figures in the first half led by 13 from Kargo.
- Eight different Bears scored in the first half lead by 10 from Hudson. LR got 14 of their 38 points from their bench in the half.
SECOND HALF:
- Bears scored the first five points of the third quarter to get within six at 49-43 but Limestone scored the next five to get back to 11 as that would be the closest the Bears would get the rest of the game.
- Saints grew their lead to as much as 18 in the final quarter.
- LR struggled from the floor in the third quarter shooting 5-17 in the quarter and only made three of their last fifteen shots in the quarter.
- Saints out rebounded the Bears 38-28 and had 8-2 advantage on second chance points.
ABOUT THE BEARS:
- Hudson with her fourth 20-point scoring performance of the season.
- Harman was the only other Bears in double figures with 14 points. Harman added six boards and four assists.
- Hannah Stull added 8 points and three rebounds off the bench.
NOTABLE SAINTS:
- Reagan McCray had a game-high 23 points for the Saints hitting seven from nine from long range.
- Byrd had 18 points and nine assists and hit four three pointers of her own.
- Kalisha Hill (14) and Kargo (13) joined McCray and Byrd in double figures.
