No. 14 Men's Lacrosse Dominates Tusculum

GREENEVILLE, TENN.- The No. 14 Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Lacrosse Team saw 16 different players score a goal in a blowout win over Tusculum on Saturday afternoon. Tommy Aguilar led LR with three goals as the Bears improve to 10-0 all-time against the Pioneers.

STATS OF THE GAME
  • Ayden Mowry started the scoring explosion with a goal at the 13:15 mark of the first quarter which opened the flood gates.
  • The Bears would score 14 of the game's first 16 goals with 12 different players finding the back of the net.
  • LR pushed the advantage to 17-3 with three straight goals to open the second half, one each from David Bell, John Paulus and Liam McGrath.
  • Jackson Price scored twice on the man-advantage as LR went 3-for-4 in extra-man opportunities. 
  • Jack Dickinson and Dom Maggio scored in the fourth quarter as LR led 22-7 before the Pioneers scored twice late. 
  • Myles Moffat and Joe Venazio each had a pair of assists and Bryce Reece finished with two goals and an assit.
  • Paulus won 15-of-23 face-offs and grabbed a team-high 11 ground balls and Macon Sumner was 7-of-11 in face-offs. 
  • Noah Johnson made 10 saves in the first three quarters to earn the victory. 
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
  • Toron Eccleston scored in the first half to reach 100 career points and became the ninth player in program history to accomplish that feat.
  • LR's shooting percentage of .458 was the best in a game this year.
  • The three man-up goals are the most since scoring three against Wingate on April 7, 2021.
  • This is the fourth straight game that LR has put up at least 20 goals against Tusculum.
UP NEXT: The Bears will return to action on Saturday when they host Queens at 7 p.m.
