MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - No. 15 Lenoir-Rhyne Baseball's winning streak has reached 14 games as the Bears came from behind to beat Georgia College in a non-conference midweek matchup on the road. The Bears fell behind 4-0, but outscored the Bobcats 8-0 in the final two innings to salt away another comfortable victory.

STATS AND INFO
- Georgia College threw the first big punch of the game, scoring three runs in the bottom of the first inning after an RBI single and a two-run double against LR starter Tanner Moyers.
- A solo home run in the bottom of the 2nd made it 4-0 Bobcats, which was the largest deficit of the season for the Bears.
- LR broke through in the third when Wade Cuda scored on a fielding error by the Bobcats.
- Cole Laskowski came through right after that with a two-run double down the left field line for this seventh and eighth RBIs of the season to make it 4-3.
- In the 4th, Matt Mackey tied the game with a solo blast to right field. It was Mackey's third homer of the season.
- Luis Atiles continued his hot hitting with an RBI single in the 4th to give the Bears their first lead at 5-4.
- After GC tied the game in the bottom of the 4th, the Bears went to work again in the 6th. Brayden Collett came home on an Atiles sacrifice fly to give the Bears the lead back at 6-5.
- Then, the floodgates opened in the 8th with another one of the Bears' signature big innings. Mackey led the inning off with a walk, and then a single from David Bell put two men on for Cuda. The national home run leader added to his total, slamming a three-run shot to left field to make it 9-5.
- After a pitching change, Atiles singled again and Yniesta walked. Nick Clarno singled to load the bases, and Laskowski drove in his third run of the game with an RBI groundout.
- LR RBI leader Anthony Porrino added to his total with a two-run single to drive in Clarno and Yniesta. The Bears racked up six runs and five hits in the 8th, and it was 12-5 after eight.
- The Bears added two more insurance runs in the 9th on RBI singles from Yniesta and Clarno.
- Moyers pitched the first two innings, Caleb Cockerham pitched the 3rd, Michael Allen pitched a perfect 4th, Jackson Reid got out of a bases loaded jam unscathed in the 5th, Braden Houston pitched two perfect innings in the 6th and 7th, Henry Cartrett pitched a perfect 8th, and Kanan Butler closed things out with a perfect 9th.
- Reid was the winning pitcher, he moves to 2-0 on the season.
- Cuda and Laskowski both had three RBIs to pace the Bears, and Atiles and Porrino each added two.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- This was the first road game for LR since Feb. 7. The Bears had played and won 13 games in a row at home since then. LR now moves to 4-1 away from Durham Field in 2022.
- The Bears came in at No. 15 in this week's NCBWA poll. That is the highest ranking for LR since March of 2009 when they were ranked No. 10.
- LR's 14-game winning streak is the second longest in program history, only behind the 19-game streak from the end of the 2014 season to the beginning of the 2015 season.
- Cuda's 9th home run of the season gives him the national lead by two homers.
- The Bear bullpen was lights out again, pitching seven innings and only allowing one earned run. The group came into this game with a 3.32 ERA on the season, and that number is now 3.13.
- Mackey has now homered in two straight games. He tied the game in the 9th inning against Georgia Southwestern on Saturday night, a game in which the Bears ended up winning in 13 innings.
