HICKORY, N.C.- The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Lacrosse Team was shut out in the second half as Gannon pulled out an 11-8 victory at Moretz Stadium on Wednesday afternoon. Gannon ended the game on a 5-0 scoring run to grab the win.

Makenna Filley started the scoring for the Bears who put up four goals in the opening quarter

Suzy Smith also netted first quarter goals with Campbell and Smith scoring with the Bears a man up
- Smith and Campbell also added man up goals in the second quarter and the duo would go back-to-back for a second time in the frame to give the Bears an 8-6 halftime lead
- LR wouldn't score for the final 31:01 as the Gannon defense tightened and backup goalie Kendra Delissio made three saves
- Five different players scored a second half goal for Gannon as they took the lead at 9-8 with 6:07 left in the third quarter
- A pair of fourth quarter goals sealed the Gannon win
- Smith and Campbell finished with three goals each and Morey had a goal and two assists

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- This is the second all-time matchup between the programs with Gannon grabbing wins in each contest
