Women Lacrosse Falls to No. 1 Queens

HICKORY, N.C.- The Lenoir-Rhyne's Women Lacrosse Team fell to No. 1 Queens 24-2 on a windy Saturday afternoon inside the bricks. Kaitlyn Cavanaugh and Jolan Morey had goals for the Bears as LR suffered their first SAC loss of the season.

STATS OF THE GAME:
- Queens opened with the first 18 goals of the game including taking a 14-0 lead into the break.
- Cavanaugh got the Bears on the board with a goal with 8:06 left in the third quarter. 
- Morey scored the last goal for the Bears with 2:46 left in the game. 
- Rebecca Kinsley led Queens with five goals while Shannon Kingston and Kyleigh Masteran added four goals. 
- Teanna Sieben had seven saves in goal for the Bears.
- Queens outshot the Bears 44-9 and forced the Bears into 25 turnovers.
- Cassie Lafler had three of the Bears' nine ground balls. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Before today, the Bears largest margin of defeat was a 26-5 loss to Queens on 2/16/11.
- This was the third time the Bears have scored just two goals in a game.
- Bears fall to 50-37 all-time in March. 
- Morey's goal was her 30th point of the year (14G, 16A).
- Sieben is up to 114 saves with her seven saves today.
