WINGATE, N.C. - Lenoir-Rhyne men's and women's tennis both fell to Wingate on the road by a score of 6-1 on Tuesday afternoon. The men's team suffers its first loss in league play, but is still in first place in the SAC.
Winners for the women were Evegniya Pugina and
Sandy Mitsou at No. 2 doubles (6-2), and
Alicia Wahlberg at No. 2 singles 6-4, 6-3.
For the men,
Rhodri Atkinson and
Josh Lazenby won again at No. 1 doubles 6-4, and
Zachary Cox was the victor in singles at No. 6-4, 4-6, 1-0.
Both teams will try to get back on track on Saturday when they travel to Anderson for a 2 p.m. first serve.
