Hickory, N.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Tennis Team won their sixth match in a row with a 6-1 win against visiting UVA Wise on Sunday afternoon. The Bears move to 8-2 on the season and a perfect 2-0 so far in SAC conference play.

The Bears started the day winning all three doubles matches to get the early 1-0 lead. 

Evgeniya Pugina and Alicia Wahlberg won their #2 and #3 singles match. The duo won 6-0, 6-0 each to give the Bears an early 3-0 lead. 

Lucy Whelan (#4), Sandy Mitsou (#5) and Spencer Cochran (#6) then put their matches away as each swept both of their sets to help the Bears secure their third win of the week and sixth straight overall.

The Bears will return to action on Tuesday with a home match against North Carolina A&T at 1:00 PM.
