ANDERSON, S.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Volleyball Team passed a tough road test with a mid-week win at Anderson on Wednesday night. The Bears topped the Trojans 3-1 behind a balanced attack with five players totaling at least eight kills each.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- Ashley Hawkins totaled 11 kills and 11 digs on the night and Emma Clark had 11 kills and a .563 hitting percentage.
- Emmaleigh Allen finished with nine kills and Colette Romp and Braelyn Faust each added eight with Faust registering a .467 hitting percentage.
- Bailey Carpenter paced the Bears with 19 digs abd three players had three blocks apiece.
- Mackenzie Hulsey finished with 20 assists and Rachel Wildermuth dished out 19 helpers.
- The Trojans were led by 15 kills and a .414 hitting percentage from Liliana Kinder.
- LR held Anderson to -.100 hitting in the first set and just .148 for the match. LR hit .235 and held an 8-2 advantage in aves.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- This was a rematch of the SAC Tournament Championship game from 2021 that LR took in dramatic fashion, 3-2.
- LR has won five straight matches overall.
- LR has won two straight over Anderson which snapped a 10-game losing streak to the Trojans.
- Wingate and LR are the only unbeaten teams in the division.
