SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Basketball Team dropped a 7-point decision at Converse in non-conference action on Tuesday night in their final action before the Thanksgiving holiday.
Nas Tyson erupted for a career-high 28 points on 9-of-16 shooting.

STATS OF THE GAME:
- Tyson's previous career-high was 21 points a season ago but he dropped 28 and hit 4-of-6 from long range.

Tay Smith added 18 points and went 8-of-16 from the field and grabbed six boards.

Chase Mebane had 13 points and a team-high nine rebounds.
- Converse outscored LR 50-33 in the second half to come away with the 83-76 win.
- The Valkyries shot 70.8 percent from the field in the second half and went 5-of-9 from three. The Bears were held to 35.7 percent shooting in the last 20 minutes.
- Five different players scored in double figures for Converse led by 18 from Uzziah Dawkins who added 11 rebounds.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- This was the first time LR played at Converse. The Bears defeated the Valkyries 67-58 in Shuford Arena on Nov. 26, 2022.
- LR is in the midst of a 5-game road trip to open the season.
- This is the 2,590th all-time game in program history,
