STATS OF THE GAME
- Ellie Campbell led the Bears with four goals and added an assist in the victory.
- The Bears also got five points from Kaitlyn Cavanaugh who had two goals and three assists.
- Montevallo struck first but the Bears answered with three straight goals. The Falcons evened it at three before LR answered with another 3-0 run.
- The Bears took a 7-4 lead into the break thanks to a goal from Jolan Morey.
- The Bears would explode for five goals in the third quarter with Campbell scoring twice and four others tallying one goal.
- The visitors tallied one final run to cut it to 12-9 in the fourth quarter but Campbell and Hannah Shuren scored back-to-back to put the Bears up five and seal the victory.
- Each squad had 19 shots on goal but LR had a 16-13 edge in draw controls. Morey grabbed seven DC's for the Bears to lead the way.
- Teanna Sieben earned the win in goal with seven saves.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Montevallo head coach Adrianna Piontek was an assistant on the LR coaching staff for two seasons and coached Sack while she was at LR.
- Buck is the all-time leader in wins for LR women's lacrosse. She has long surpassed Sue Eaker's 30 wins.
- LR is 3-0 all-time against Montevallo.
