EMORY, VA. - The Bears completed the weekend sweep of Emory & Henry thanks to three home runs from Blake Bean in the two games and nine bombs as a team in the two games. LR banged out 38 hits in the two games and improve to 6-0 in SAC play.

STATS OF GAME ONE:
- The Bears wasted no time in jumping on the hosts with a pair of bombs in the first inning. Sal Carricato stepped up and crushed a two-run bomb before Wade Cuda hit a 3-run shot.
- Tyler McPeak drove in the Bears sixth run of the game with a fielder's coach.
- Bean connected on his first bomb of the day in the fourth with a solo shot and Mason Maxwell hit his first of the year, a 2-run shot.
- With the Bears up 10-4, Bean hit his second long ball of the day to make it 12-4.
- The Bears would score six more in the sixth before Alex Rich hit the final bomb of the day, a 2-run shot in the eighth to make it 20-5.
- Andrew Patrick earned the win and gave up three earned runs in his five innings.
- The bullpen didn't allow an earned run in the final four innings as Andy Cook and Chipper Mcginnis struck out nine to record the 12 outs.
- Bean, Cole Laskowski, Cole Stanford, McPeak, Maxwell, Cuda, Zach Evans and Bryce Stober all had multiple hits in the win.
STATS OF GAME TWO:
- It was more of the same in the finale as LR pounded out 17 hits.
- Carricato once again started the scoring with an RBI double and McPeak drove him in as the Bears jumped out 2-0.
- Bean would smack his third bomb of the day in the top of the second to make it 3-1.
- Cuda drove in a run in the third and LR scored another unearned run to take a four run advantage.
- Stanford had a run-scoring single before McPeak's 2-run bomb to put it out of reach.
- Carricato added a seventh inning homer for insurance.
- Jackson Reid moved to 4-0 with six k's in five innings with just one earned run allowed.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The LR bullpen fired six innings without allowing an earned run. In those six innings, LR struck out 12 batters.
- Carricato went 5-for-5 in the second game and became the first LR hitter to record 4+ hits in a game since Braden Collett on March 15, 2022.
- This was Bean's second two-homer games of the season.
- The Bears are 6-0 in conference play on the season, the only undefeated team in league play.
- LR is outscoring league opponents 80-33 in those six wins.
