Mars Hill, N.C.-- Down to their final out in the opener, Cassidy Wall delivered a two-run home run to give the Bears the 2-1 win. Morgan Beeler picked up her 13th win in the circle and stuck out ten Lions on the afternoon. In the nightcap, Mars Hill used a grand slam from Jessica Senn to snap an 18-game losing streak to the Bears as Mars Hill won 5-1. The Bears will look to rebound with a trip to Coker on Saturday.

- These games were originally schedule for Saturday but weather forced a postponement until Tuesday.

- This is Wall's second game-winning home run in the seventh inning. Wall walked off Tusculum earlier this month with a solo homerun on the first pitch of the inning.
GAME ONE INFO:
- MHU's Farley Park broke the scoreless tie with a leadoff homerun in the bottom of the fourth to give Mars Hill the 1-0 lead.
- The game remained 1-0 until two outs in the seventh when Wall delivered her fifth homerun of the year, a two-run shot to give the Bears a 2-1 lead.
- That's all Morgan Beeler needed as she set down the Lions 1-2-3 in the bottom of the seventh to secure her 13th win of the season. Beeler allowed five hits while striking out ten Lions.
- Talon LaClair's one-out single in the fourth and Julia Mardigian's lead-off single in the 7th were the Bears lone hits before Wall connected on the clutch homer.
GAME TWO INFO:
- The Bears offensive slump continued in game two as they had just five singles and only scored an unearned run in the fifth inning.
- After the Bears took the 1-0 lead, the Lions scored a run with a walk and three hit by pitches before Senn cleared them all with a grand slam to right field to give the Lions a 5-1 lead.
- Senn had the only two hits for the Lions in the night cap as Rakes (8-3) suffered the loss, giving up four runs in 4 1/3 innings in the circle for the Bears.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Lora Beth Wood's streak of reaching base in 20 straight games snapped in game one.
- Beeler took over the SAC lead in strikeouts as the senior has 114 punch outs this year so far.
- Beeler also leads the conference in wins (13) and saves (4).
- LaClair was the only Bear to record more then one hit today as the Bears had just eight hits on the afternoon.
