Baseball Prevails over Anderson in Shootout

ANDERSON, S.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne Baseball Team overcame an early six-run deficit to steal a game from the Trojans, and sweep the series in a 11-10 final.

Blake Bean was the hero for the Bears with his RBI double in the ninth inning to score the game-winning run in the form of Bryce Stober

After the slow start for LR, they found themselves down by six runs after two innings of play, but the offense clicked consistently between the third and sixth inning. In each frame, the Bears tallied up multiple runs to go up by two.

As Braden Houston entered the game in the seventh inning, it was a difficult start for the relief pitcher by giving up a couple of unearned runs. However, the redshirt senior rediscovered his craft and struck out a game-high three strikeouts to earn his third win of the season.
