HARROGATE, TENN. -- On a windy afternoon,
Hannah Shuren capped a late 3-0 run for the Bears with an overtime game-winner at Lincoln Memorial on Saturday afternoon.
Chloe Christensen scored with 30 seconds left in regulation to send it to overtime and the Bears completed the comeback at the 1:28 mark of the first OT period. The win pushed LR to 4-2 in SAC play and pulled them into a tie for fourth place in the conference standings.

STATS OF THE GAME
- The two teams traded goals to open the contest with the Bears tally coming from Alexa Burghart off an assist from Jolan Morey.
- LMU would use a 3-0 run to take the lead early and ended the first quarter with a 5-2 advantage.
- However, the Bears would strike back. Kaitlyn Cavanaugh ignited a 3-0 run which was capped by a goal from Morey to draw LR even at 5.
- The Railsplitters would score twice in the final 2:28 sandwiched around a goal from Emilee Foxall to take a 7-6 edge at the break.
- LMU extended the advantage to 8-6 at the 12:28 mark of the third quarter before Morey netted her second goal to make it 8-7.
- Burghardt ended the third quarter with a goal to make it 9-8. The Bears held LMU scoreless for the final 7:43 of the quarter.
- Ellie Campbell ended LR's scoring drought with a goal at the 2:52 mark of the fourth quarter to make it 10-9.
- With 30 seconds left in regulation, Chloe Christensen buried a free position shot to even the game at 10 and send it to overtime.
- Shuren would send LR to sudden victory on a free position attempt with 1:28 left in the first overtime. It was Shuren's first goal of the game and sixth of the season.
- Burghart led LR with a hat trick and Morey finished with two goals and an assist. Shuren added pair of assists to go with her game-winner.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- LR is 4-0 all-time at the LMU Lacrosse Complex.
- The Bears are 8-1 all-time against LMU.
- This is the second straight game in the head-to-head series with LMU to go to OT. The Bears avenged a season-ending loss to LMU in the SAC Tournament by a 12-11 final in triple overtime.
- Morey recorded her 100th career point on the assist on LR's first goal of the game. She joins Cavanaugh who accomplished the feat on March 22 at UVA Wise as the newest members of the 100-point club at LR.
- There are now 13 players in LR history to record 100 career points.
- Sieben entered the game with 566 career saves and added 17 to her total today. She is trying to track down Ines Flueck's career mark of 606 career saves.
- Sieben's 17 stops tied for the fourth most saves in a single game in program history.
