ANDERSON, S.C. -- In the first all-time meeting between Lenoir-Rhyne and Anderson in women's lacrosse,
Teanna Sieben broke the career record for saves in a narrow 15-14 win on Wednesday afternoon. Sieben moves past Ines Flueck with her 611 saves for her career.

STATS OF THE GAME
- The Bears got a four-goal effort from Chloe Christensen who added five draw controls.
- Alexa Burghardt added three goals for the Bears and Kaitlyn Cavanaugh had two goals to go with her five assists.
- Ellie Campbell, Kirra Olson and Jolan Morey all added two goals each.
- Sieben entered the game needing just six saves to break Flueck's all-time record and now has cemented herself at the top of the saves list with 611. Flueck notched 606 in her career.
- Isabelle Dunnam had four ground balls and two caused turnovers for LR and Cavanaugh added three ground balls and three draw controls.
- LR led 7-3 after Christensen's third goal of the first half at the 12:08 mark of the second quarter.
- Anderson cut it to 8-6 but Christensen and Olson went back-to-back to make it 10-6.
- To open the second half, LR scored a pair to make it 12-7. However, the Trojans would storm back with a 4-0 run to make it a one-goal game.
- The teams would trade the next six goals as the lead never got to more than two but Anderson could never draw even. Gwen Ontiveros scored for AU with 1:13 to play to make it 15-14 but Sieben's save in the final seconds sealed the win for LR.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- The Bears have now won back-to-back games heading into a crucial matchup with Limestone.
- LR is in sole possesion of fourth place in the league standings with a 6-2 mark and play Newberry and Limestone to close out the regular season who are tied for second in the SAC.
- Anderson added women's lacrosse and is enjoying a successful first season with eight victories.
- LR improves to 41-28 all-time in the month of April.
