PUEBLO, Colo. -- The Lenoir-Rhyne outdoor track and field team continued its strong showing and added another All-American honor as
Melody Jones earned Second Team status in the 100m hurdles.
Alexis Brown took second place in her heat in the 200m dash to earn a spot in the finals on Saturday. Brown blazed a time of 23.06 which was the fifth-best time in the event.
Dario Matau was a standout in day two as he was in day one, earning the top spot in his flight and the fifth-fastest time in the 200m dash to also qualify for Saturday's finals. In the same event,
Trent Davis II finished 13th to just miss All-American status and a spot in Saturday's final.
In the women's 100m hurdles, Jones narrowly missed advancing to Saturday by finishing 11th in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.94 but good enough for Second Team All-American accolades.
The men's 4x400m relay closed the day with a qualifying time of 3:10.06 to finish seventh and earn a spot in Saturday's final.
