Box Score Hickory, N.C.-- After not hitting a three-pointer on Wednesday night, the Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball team drills eleven long range shots lead by six from Andrea Torres as the Bears defeated Tusculum 73-68 on Saturday afternoon. Torres had a career high 20 points while Tilda Lindstrom had a career high 15 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season. The Bears had five in double figures in the contest as Emily Harman , Blaikley Crooks and Jayda Glass joined Lindstrom and Torres in double digits.

FIRST HALF:
- Tusculum scored the first five points of the game before the Bears counter with a 14-0 run of their own.
- The Pioneers battle back from the early nine point deficit to cut the lead to one at 16-15 to end the first quarter.
- Andrea Torres scored half of the Bears twenty-two second quarter points to help the Bears build a 38-29 halftime lead.
- Lindstrom had 8 points and eight rebounds in the first half.
SECOND HALF:
- A quick 8-0 run for the Pioneers tied the game at 41-41 with 5:23 left in the third quarter.
- Tusculum used a three pointer from Jordyn Roderick with :28 seconds left in the third quarter to open a 51-46 lead heading into the 4th quarter.
- Roderick strikes again in the fourth quarter and the Pioneers had their biggest lead of the day at 54-46 with 9:07 remaining.
- Glass, Torres and Maleiya Hill each drilled a three pointers in a short span to have the Bears regain the lead at 57-56 with 6:50 left.
- Offensive rebounding was the key late as Glass and Lindstrom each had an old-fashion three point play off a key offensive rebound including Lindstrom with just :29 seconds left to give the Bears a 71-68 lead.
- After a defensive stop, Glass sealed with with a couple free throws as the Bears rebound for a 73-68 win.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Bears had 13 steals compared to just one for the Pioneers.
- Lindstrom added five blocks to her 11 points, 15 rebounds stat line.
- 6 of Lindstrom 15 rebounds were on the offensive side including the game winner.
- N'Kiah Chesterfield and Lexi Patty each had a double-double for the Pioneers. As Pioneers had 59 rebounds in the game.
- Tusculum only shot four free-throws on the day.
- Along with Torres career high 20 points, Glass's 13 points is a her career high here at LR.
