HICKORY, N.C.-- An early lead wasn't enough for the Bears on Wednesday night, as they fell 2-1 to the visiting Francis Marion Patriots. A non-conference matchup, this does not effect the Bears in their race for a high seed in the SAC tournament.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- The Bears could not draw up a better start as Jonas Moos scored just 23 seconds into the game.
- Francis Marion got the equalizer in the 17th minute, taking advantage of one of their five corner kicks of the first half.
- FMU got on the board just 19 minutes into the second half, as John Osadolor scored his eighth goal of the season to break the tie.
- LR had two good chances late, but we unable to find the back of the net.
- Cathal Carney made a season-high eight saves in the game.
- FMU out-shot the Bears 18-9 and held a 10-6 edge in shots-on-goal.
- The Patriots' Camilo Salazar received the only yellow card of the game.

- This was Francis Marion's first trip to Hickory since 2016.
