ANDERSON, SC - It ain't over 'till it's over. On a cold, rainy afternoon in Anderson, the Bears struck gold with one second left, as
Raul Canas headed in a cross from
Harri Rowe to give the Bears a 1-0 SAC quarterfinal victory over the Trojans. Uncredited with an assist was senior
Sam Sawyer, who, with just seconds remaining, prevented the ball from going over the fence and handed it to Rowe for a quick throw that eventually led to the goal.
Thanks to this win the Bears advance to the SAC semi-finals for the third straight season, and continue their quest for their second SAC Tournament title in three years.
