LIVINGSTON, AL - The Lenoir-Rhyne Football Team is going dancing again, as they were announced at the #6 seed in Super Region II. They will be heading to West Alabama, who are seeded #3 in the region and are the #12 team in the country.
The game is set to take place in Livingston, Alabama, at 2:00 p.m. ET. It will be available to watch on ESPN+.
This marks the eighth trip to the NCAA tournament for the Bears, all coming since the 2012 season. This is the second year in a row the Bears were selected to go to the NCAA Tournament, as last year Lenoir-Rhyne was the #4 seed in the region and advanced all the way to the national semi-finals.
West Alabama comes into the game with a 9-1 record, including a 5-1 mark in Gulf South play. Their lone loss came in a 21-6 defeat at Delta State. The Tigers last made the playoff in 2018, where they fell to Bowie State 41-35 in the opening round. Lenoir-Rhyne currently sits at 9-2 (7-2 SAC) and will be facing the Tigers for the third time in program history. Both games went in favor of West Alabama, as UWA took down the Bears 46-7 in Hickory in 2017, then turned around and won 36-32 in Livingston in 2018.
General admission tickets for the game will be $15, and can be purchased both online and at the gate. Student tickets, which can only be purchased at the gate, are $5 for anyone who shows their college ID. All gate ticket purchases can be made via card or cash. Parking is $5 near the stadium and free just a little further up the road. Parking ticket purchases are cash only.
