MEADOWVIEW, VA.-- The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball team earned their first SAC victory of the season on Saturday, taking down Emory & Henry on the road 76-59.
Vanessa Jurewicz led a balanced Bear attack with 25 points. This win was Head Coach
Grahm Smith's 200th career win in his collegiate coaching career.

- Lenoir-Rhyne never trailed in this one, leading 9-0 early.
- Sarah Burton hit a late layup at the end of the opening quarter to give the Bears a 22-16 lead after ten minutes of play.
- Vanessa Jurewicz and Alexandra Merceron scored all 17 points for the Bears in the second quarter, helping lead them to a 39-33 halftime advantage.
- Blaikley Crooks helped out with four rebounds and three assists in the opening 20 minutes.
- After the Wasps cut the lead to one early in the third quarter, the Bears went on a 10-0 run to extend their lead to 11.
- Bears held the Wasps to just ten points in the final quarter as LR pulled away for the 76-59 win.
